We will pick up our currently enrolled Pennsbury students on June 16 & 17 (June 17 is a half day for Pennsbury) ~ they will join the camp program when they arrive for the day.

JUNIOR CAMP DETAILS

Junior Camp (Graduating K and 1 st graders) goes on an exciting field trip each week. We will be using Calvary vans and or Calvary's bus to transport the children. The campers will additionally be “In House” for special activities and a fun assembly.

FULL SUMMER VS. PART SUMMER ATTENDANCE

  • You will see that there are different rates for FULL SUMMER versus PART SUMMER attendance.
  • FULL SUMMER….. attendance means that you are contracted to pay for all 9 weeks of summer, regardless of attendence. You are guaranteed a spot for all 9 weeks. Families attending for the full summer are entitled to the premium rate for tuition and fees. Full summer spots will be given precedence over part summer positions. When you contract for FULL SUMMER, you pay for all 9 weeks, regardless of absence due to illness, early withdraw, vacation, or any other reason.   For example, Suzy Q is scheduled for full summer (9 weeks) and will be on vacation during the week of August 2.  Suzy Q’s mom will pay for all 9 weeks, even though she is out for a week.
  • PART SUMMER …. attendance means that you are choosing only a few weeks to attend (9 weeks or less).  Part summer tuition and fees are different, due to the fact that we need to “piece together” who is coming which week and may actually loose out on weeks when children are not scheduled.  Please understand that we need to have a consistent income in order to pay our bills, (bills are always “full summer”!).  Parents are responsible to pay for the number of weeks contracted, regardless of absence due to illness, vacation, or any other reason.  Another example…. Billy Bob is contracted for 4 weeks (part summer enrollment).  Aunt Matilda suddenly decides to take Billy Bob for one of those weeks, so Billy Bob only actually attends 3 of the 4 scheduled weeks. Billy Bob’s dad will pay for all 4 weeks, because that is what he contracted for.
    • Parents will either return the Full Summer Contract or the Part Summer Contract – located at the bottomed of this page!! If you have any questions about this, please ask now!!

More Details...

  • Each parent will be required to read an sign the enclosed policies for summer camp (policy available at bottom of page).
  • We will continue to have a daily chapel/Bible time, as well as look for ways to share Jesus all day long! Our staff will share openly with your child what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as it is outlined in the Bible. The staff will do this in fun, practical ways. This is the primary mission of Calvary Child Care Center as a whole, as we are a ministry of Calvary Full Gospel Church ( www.calvaryfullgospel.org) .
  • Calendars are posted on the top of this page. The calendars will give you a framework of what to expect, but remember – the calendars are SUBJECT TO CHANGE due to weather and/or any other reason.  It is important to watch your calendars closely.  Certain trips will require specific clothing, early leaving times, and other important detailsAny trip changes and updates will be posted in the classroom and at a special place in the foyer area.
  • We will again require that parents sign up to chaperone a minimum of 1 field trip during the summerThis is a condition of enrollmentNot all trips require a chaperone, however.  We will let you know which trips will necessitate a chaperone via the Chaperone Form (available at the bottom of this page).  Your help in supervising children in small groups makes for a better field trip for all!!  Parents are responsible for their own admission.   In most cases, the procedure will be to pay the office in full prior to the trip date.   We will inform you as to the adult rate for each trip.  In order to optimize supervision, we ask that you find alternate arrangements for younger siblings.  When chaperoning a trip, please do not buy “goodies” for those in your group, as this always causes hurt feelings among other children.
  • Children will need to bring a disposable bagged lunch, with plenty of drinks, on a daily basis unless notified otherwise. Some trips have lunch included – watch the calendar! Please pack lunch items that will not spoil during the day. You may wish to include an ice pack or frozen juice pack to preserve the freshness of your child's lunch. We will not have the means to refrigerate or warm up lunches. We will provide both morning and afternoon snacks. Breakfast will be provided if your child arrives by 7:40 a.m.
  • Children will need to bring a backpack to camp and carry their own lunch and any other needed supplies. Children are responsible for their own belongings. Each child should bring a backpack daily and is responsible to carry it and know where it is.
  • Things NOT to bring ……. TOYS (we have plenty here!), ELECTRONIC DEVICES (such as CD players, MP3 players, iPods, Game Boys, cell phones, etc. – you don’t want your expensive items to be lost), and any offensive clothing/material (this would include but not be limited to items related to wizardry/sorcery, frightening images, etc). Clothing should be modest and closed toe shoes need to be worn for safety (this includes swim days). Children can wear water shoes or "Crocks" for water fun. Flip flops and open toed shoes are not as safe as water shoes, therefore are not permitted. WEAR CLOSED TOW SHOES!!! It is our desire to honor God through everything that we do and say and represent.
  • On sprinkler days, children should come to school with bathing suites already on, with clothes on top and sun block applied. They can wear water shores or "crocs", but no flip flops or any open toed shoes. They will bring a bag with towel, underwear, dry shoes/socks & sunscreen. It will help greatly to label all belongings with the child's name.
  • We expect children to participate in the summer camp program by being respectful to others and to adults. If a behavior problem prevents a child from being able to attend a trip, we will notify the parents at once. It may be necessary for someone to come to pick up the child. It is very important that children are respectful to adults and of their peers both inside and outside of the building. Of course we don’t anticipate behavior problems, but things happen and parents need to be aware of this in advance, just in cast. Our primary concern is for the safety and well being of the group.

WHEN Do I Come?

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES

**Some trips will require leaving by 8:00 and coming back later than 4:30 – watch the calendar!!!!  Of course, traffic can be unpredictable, and sometimes the Junior Camp will not return until later than 4:30 PM.  Please keep these times in mind when scheduling doctor and dentist appointments, sports practices, etc.  We cannot leave a child here during a field trip or bring someone back early.   If your child arrives after the group has left, we will not have a space for him/her and you will need to take your child back with you.

On a trip day, if your child has an appointment that would require him or her to leave earlier than 4:30, please do not bring him/her to camp for the day.

We cannot bring your child back early from a trip and traffic is always unpredictable!!

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY AND ASK NOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.

When Vans Are Used.....

Pennsylvania mandates that all children must be in a car seat until either 8 years of age or 80 lbs. As such we will need a care seat for all students who fall under the above mentioned category. Please keep an eye on the calendar and bring a labeled car seat to school on any day where a field trip is scheduled. Please label the car seat with a permanent marker. Please bring the seat to the classroom when dropping off your child.

WHEN Do I Pay?

  • Calvary Child Care Center as a whole is on a monthly payment system.   Only for Summer Camp, we will accept payments on a weekly basis but greatly prefer them on a monthly basis.   You are required to choose one or the other – either paying weekly all summer OR paying monthly all summer – please indicate your choice on the Registration Contract.  You cannot switch payment methods part-way through the summer.  All payments are made using a payment envelope ~ provided outside of the office
  • PAYING MONTHLY?  >> Multiply the weekly rate by the number of Mondays in the month.  If you are paying monthly, tuition will be due on the first day of camp (June 22nd) and again on July 1st and August 1st.  If monthly payments are not received by June 24th, July 2nd and August 3rd, a $50.00 late payment fee is assessed– regardless of attendance.  Please plan accordingly when the 1st of the month falls on a weekend.
  • PAYING WEEKLY?  >> If you are paying weekly, tuition is due on the first day of camp (June 22nd) and every Monday thereafter.  If the payment is not received by TUESDAY, a $25.00 late payment fee will be assessed – no exceptions.

Whether you will be paying monthly or weekly, tuition is due on the first day of camp – Monday, June 22nd.
