What We Believe

We believe that God offers to every person the forgiveness of sins through the sacrifice of His Son. The scriptural plan of salvation is simple and definite:

• All are sinners. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
• Sin must be punished: Romans 6:23a "For the wages of sin is death."
• God sent His son Jesus Christ to take our punishment for us by dying on the cross: Isaiah 53:5b " … the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him …"
• Eternal life is a gift: Ephesians 2:8, 9 "For by grace are you saved through faith, and not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works least any person should boast."
• Be receiving Christ, we receive eternal life: 1John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all sin."
